Total train wreck

Whistler, British Columbia

  • We had a really well balanced day today…

  • Got up and went for a walk on the snowmobile trail at the edge of the RV park

  • After breakfast and stretching, we went for a short hike to the train wreck site where several box cars were left and graffitied after getting derailed in the forest in the 1950s

  • On the way back, we found the longest black slug we’d ever seen

  • We spent the afternoon at the campground - Matt working on our blog and website and Liz sorting out the finances

  • We rode our bikes to the Brandywine falls and bungee bridge - it was a well maintained gravel two track with some easy-ish ups and downs; Oslo came along, running beside the bikes and enjoying a refreshing dip in a puddle and pond along the trail

  • We had leftover Greek bowls for dinner, continued working on the website (making up creative headliners for all of the previous days of our trip) and booked our AirB&B on the Lofoten Islands in August

  • Campground: Whistler RV Park and Campground
