Party time!
Midland, Michigan
We put the finishing touches on the yard for the party - arranged the patio furniture and picnic tables, fired up the soft serve machine, hung signs for guests to navigate through the neighborhood, organized the buffet in preparation for the roasting pans, put out posters from the wedding week that also served as the guest book (thanks to Molly!)
Family and friends started to trickle in until we had a full house. We caught up with everyone and had to slip away into the lean-to to finish a plate of BBQ pork, cheesy potatoes and macaroni and cheese.
It was really nice seeing everyone and bringing the whole family together for the first time in a long time.
There are so many exciting things happening in everyone’s lives: Clutch got a new job with Dow and moved back up to Michigan, Michelle is conquering cancer, Erin is expecting, the Zainias bought the house next door to Bill and Renee, Leanne and Mike are expanding their lot at the campground, Paxton and Danielle are engaged, etc.
Oslo and Tor were cooped up in the house until midway through the party. They both got to meet baby Blair and gave her lots of wet kisses and tail wags.
As everyone left and the sun went down, we cleaned up the yard, bagged up the extra food and basically collapsed into bed.
