Taylor Chip Cookies!
Midland, Michigan > Walled Lake, Michigan
We got up and packed the truck and gathered all of our loose items throughout the house.
We went down to Jay and Trish’s where breakfast was hot and waiting for us. Jay had cooked enough pancakes, bacon and sausage to feed an army, so we did what we could to take it off their hands.
We said our goodbyes and started the drive to the BP in Fenton where dad was meeting us. We pulled in and unloaded everything from our truck to his truck.
When we got home, Matt opened his birthday gifts - SAXX underwear for the trip and a half dozen of Taylor Chip Cookies.
Then the real fun began… it took hours to sort through all of the totes and consolidate it down to the essentials for our abroad trip. We ended up with an extra bag, but it will be nice to have the option to go backpacking overnight. After shuffling gear back and forth, we got the big bags close to 50 pounds and hoping Delta will be lenient.
We had dinner on the patio - mom made shredded beef sandwiches, air fryer baby potatoes, pesto pasta salad and a broccoli slaw.
We sampled three of the cookies: smores, white chocolate macadamia nut and cookies and cream
We stored the rest of stuff in the basement, caught up on a few other tasks like laundry and wedding thank you cards and went to bed. It was close to 80 degrees in the house, so sleeping in a twin bed and leather couch was less than ideal.
