So many peanut butter M&Ms
Midland, Michigan
After a late night, we were slow to get out of bed this morning. We solidified our plans for Namsentunet Lodge to fish for Atlantic salmon, but came up with new to do list items: travelers insurance, bank wire, etc.
We drove over to A&B Camperland and had the trailer winterized while browsing the lot for our next upgrade. We’re thinking of a fifth wheel with a king bed, fireplace, comfortable couch / recliners, large bathroom, dining booth and WFH office. We didn’t see any that checked all the boxes, but we found all of the components across various campers. If only we could custom build!
We took the camper to the car wash and spent 30 minutes and $22 washing the outside. We wasted a few minutes using the tire brush, thinking it was an out-of-order foam brush - oops.
We went to the storage unit to play Tetris with all of our belongings one last time. We put the camping totes in the camper, stored the bikes and bike racks, moved the other vehicles and trailers around to get the camper comfortably in the big unit, wrapped it in a tarp and … drum roll… that’s a wrap for the first segment of the trip!
In the afternoon, we washed the truck and scrubbed the tacky sheet of dead bugs off of the front. We went to Pet Smart and engraved a new dog tag for Oslo with dad and Emily’s phone number. We changed our AT&T plan and found a way to maintain a line with full coverage while abroad.
Paxton and Danielle came over to visit with Waylon and Nessa. Waylon and Oslo chased each around the house the whole time. We caught up about the engagement, their wedding plans and the surprise honeymoon I’m excited and hopeful to plan for them!
We ate a late dinner and ate too many peanut butter M&Ms for the second day in a row.
