This AirB&B comes with a cat

Sunday, September 25th: Crete, Greece

  • We slept in, had breakfast, re-watched the last available episode of Rings of Power (since Liz fell asleep the night before) and packed up. We drove from Heraklion to Chania / Kissamos mostly along the coast and stopped a few times along the way.

  • We stopped in what seemed to be a small tourist town (Bali) on the beach and drove through Rethymnon.

  • We checked into the AirB&B, which has a beautiful view of the ocean, patio set and pool. We made Greek salad for dinner and as Liz was walking outside, we both heard a foreign sound. Before we could investigate or even react, Liz was unnoticeably greeted by a cat as it brushed up against her bare leg and scared the daylights out of her. The cat was friendly and made herself right at home, looking for handouts and back scratches. She made many attempts to come inside, including a couple of successful dashes through the living room.

  • The one downside to the AirB&B is they forgot to leave us trash bags, so our garbage piled up under the sink quickly.

  • Accommodations: AirB&B, Kissamos, Crete, Greece
