and driving…
Bismarck, North Dakota > Wausau, Wisconsin
We woke up around 10:00 AM and were the last amongst the semis and RVs to leave the rest stop
It was another long day on the road. We drove from North Dakota to Minnesota to Wisconsin, barely noticing the “Welcome to” signs as we passed from one state into the next.
We continued our true crime podcast binge and listened to one episode after another of 48 Hours as husbands killed their wives and vice versa over and over again. We’ve been married a little more than a month and living in 220 square feet, but still not even close to murdering one another… yet :)
We stopped every 150 miles to fill up the tank, grateful for the Midwest prices, which are about a dollar less per gallon than out west.
In total, we covered 600 miles with only 466 more to go tomorrow before we reach the cabin.
We set up camp in a Walmart parking lot and ate cold greek chicken bowls for dinner.
