Picking up our goodest boy

Friday, August 26th: Ann Arbor, Michigan

  • We were planning to sleep in after going to bed around 4 AM, but our bodies were stuck on European time. After breakfast, we went to the orthodontist to pick up our retainers - they still fit, but they were tight and uncomfortable. We ran over to mom and dad’s to pick up our good boy. Dad had him ready in the backyard and we quietly snuck up on him. He bounced back and forth between us, greeting us with lots of tail wags and face licks. Our last errand of the day was to return the rental car to DTW. They took different routes, both phones lost battery and neither of us had a charger. Fortunately, we timed it well and found each other pretty easily outside of the lot.

  • We got settled back at Emily’s, unpacked our bags and did a few things around the house before dinner, which consisted of brats, corn and potato salad.

  • Oslo was pretty lethargic, but that’s normal after

  • Accommodations: Emily’s House
