Takin’ the long way round

Cody, WY (East Yellowstone National Park) > Kelly, WY (Grand Teton National Park)

  • It was a day spent on the road; the East entrance through Yellowstone was closed, so we took a very long alternate route as we headed south to grand Teton National Park 

  • The drive was very scenic; drove along the Big Horn river where we saw numerous people fishing; it was the first river that was actually clear enough to fish (in hindsight, we should have stayed in the area for a day or two) 

  • We drove up the mountain through Shoshone National Forest and Bridger Teton National Forest; Oslo had a nice little romp in the snow again 

  • Arrived in Kelly, WY 

  • Campground: Gros Ventre Campground (pronounced Gro-Vahnt)
