Puppy paw injury 😢

Canmore, Alberta (Bow River) 

• We tested out the shuttle system to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake; they’ve made some upgrades since we were here last in 2019 - moved the park & ride to the Lake Louise Ski Resort and invested in commercial buses 

• It wasn’t too busy with kids still in school and some of the roads and lodges still closed from the prolonged winter 

• Lake Louise was gorgeous; we walked along the lakeshore trail all the way to the opposite side where the glacier streams fed in

• We went to Moraine Lake in hopes of seeing the iconic mountain range views, but the lake level was SO low and it was still mostly iced over; the lodge was getting ready to open 

• Went to Quarry Lake off leash dog park; great views, expansive field for play and trails that led to a pond / lake for the pups 

• Oslo bolted in and sliced his carpal pad (and sunk another Chuck it balls) - we didn’t notice until we got back to the truck and saw a nickel sized piece of flesh hanging off; we wrapped it overnight and scheduled a veterinary appointment in Canmore of the next day
