The fishing was just Hoh-K
Forks, Washington
Matt woke up with a sore and very swollen elbow from falling yesterday
Drove over to the Hoh River at the Cottonwood Campground to fish; Google Maps was useless once we got there since the river has significantly shifted course due to past flooding - where the river once was, is now a vast gravel bed with uprooted trees and natural debris
We navigated our way to the river and started fishing; the water was a bright blue and quite deep; we drifted nymphs, eggs and pink worms, but only caught a few fry sized trout that were about the same size as the worms they intended to eat; everyone (except Oslo) stayed dry today; there were several nice spots along the river to camp
We followed the river and fished our way down to where a creek-like part of the Hoh rejoined the main river
We drove to the Hoh Rainforest, stopped by the visitor center and walked the Hall of Mosses loop to admire the density of the rainforest and storybook-like moss covered trees; we saw several banana slugs, which apparently eat poop and have 27,000 teeth (gross), lounging on the salmon berry bush
