Time for island life

  • Packed up the camper in Whistler; headed to Vancouver

  • Stopped at Home Depot and Walmart before getting to Tsawwassen to board the BC ferry; our rig was longer than we thought, so we had to pay a difference fee for our ticket 

  • We boarded the ferry and took Oslo (our noble service dog) on deck - he met a mini poodle / German short haired pointer (Henney) and Freda 

  • We walked around and found a row of unoccupied seats where we plopped for the remainder of the ride; there were annoying high school kids everywhere 

  • When we arrived to the island, we found our hotel, but parking wasn’t easy… we had to parallel park it and avoid brushing against too many evergreen branches 

  • We made an easy meal - ramen and Caesar salad 

  • Got a room upgrade to a suite with a jet tub and bidet; soaked in the hot tub and pool; watched The Change Up

  • Campground: Four Points by Sheraton Victoria Gateway
