Cownadian Maple & Mooey Gooey

Canmore, Alberta (Bow River)

  • We slept in again, got up and started to get back to our camping rituals and morning routine after the wedding week

  • We ate leftover wedding ribeye with scrambled eggs

  • We headed to Mt. Norquay for our via ferrata tour; we stopped and watched a cinnamon black bear 10 yards off the road

  • We met our guide, Jake, and fellow travelers, Caitlin and Julia (dentists from LA and San Antonio) and got geared up for the climb

  • Took the open air chair lift to the top of the mountain and made our way through the course, including the swinging bridge, wood beams and several vertical climbs

  • We went downtown to the COW ice cream shop - we each got a double scoop of flavors with clever puns (Cownadian Maple, Mooey Gooey, etc.)

  • We attempted to do laundry in Canmore, but there was no attendant or change available

  • We went to Save on Foods grocer and did most of our grocery shopping

  • Took Oslo for a bike ride around the campground, started working on our Wandering in Waders blog / website and ate leftover steak and Caesar salad

  • Campground: Bow River Campground
